At each Hard Rock Cafe store, a special menu "Hoppin John & BBQ Pork" that includes the New Year's cuisine "Hoppin John" in the southern United States will be on sale from January 1st to January 31st, 2016. The price is 2,480 yen (excluding tax).


Hoppin'John is a mixture of black-eyed pea and rice. In the southern part of the United States, it is said that "fortune can be brought in", and it is customary to eat it on New Year's Day as an auspicious dish.

Hoppin'John, offered at Hard Rock Cafe, is an American style of boiling black eyed pea with bacon and onions and sprinkling it on butter rice. Served with crispy fried zucchini and shiitake mushrooms sprinkled with Cajun spice.

BBQ pork is made by seasoning pork ribs (280g (9.88oz)), roasting it for about 2 hours, and finishing it with BBQ sauce. It's juicy and soft, and it's perfect for eating.
