You may no longer need a measuring cup, an oven, or even a recipe to bake a cake.


Two students from Harvard University have developed "Spray Cake," in which the dough is blown out of a spray can and the cake is baked in a microwave oven for 60 seconds. The British media Daily Mail reports .

To make a cake with Spray Cake, simply "spray" the dough into a cupcake mold and microwave. In less than a minute after you start warming, the cake is ready in no time. By the way, it seems that the spray cans that are in use can be stored in the refrigerator.


They came up with this idea on a college class Science & Cooking project. Spray Cake, which won the Harvard Innovation Challenge competition held at the university, is now steadily preparing to sell it as a product.


Brooke Nowakowski, one of the students who developed it, said that when he applied for a patent, he searched for similar products in the past but could not find them. I was particularly surprised. "

I'm wondering how much Spray Cake will be sold and what it tastes like, but for a hassle like me, there may not be a time-saving recipe that can match this. I just hope that it will be released in Japan someday.
