From "Mr.CroissantDonut (Mr. croissant donut)" of Mister Donut, new flavors of summer limitations appeared was! It's completely different from the first one released in April, and this time it's called "fruit flavor".

Mr. Croissant Donuts are popular for their crispy and light texture in the manufacturing process where croissant dough is fried and then baked in an oven. How is it compatible with fruits? I decided to eat and compare all kinds at once.


There are three types of lineup: "berry & chocolate whipped cream", "orange & lemon whipped cream", and "mixed fruit & yogurt whipped cream". The price is 216 yen each (tax included). In addition to being sold separately, the shop also sold sets of 3 and 6 in a blue box. This looks good as a souvenir!


When you open it, all the toppings are gorgeous and it looks more like a cake than a donut. Let's taste it in order.

First of all, "Berry & Chocolate Whipped" with a cute bright pink color. Dried cranberries are topped on a blueberry-flavored coating.


Chocolate whipped cream is sandwiched inside.


When you take a bite, you can feel the acidity of blueberries from the coating part, but I also firmly insist on the cacao taste of chocolate cream. Although the toppings are accented with cranberries, the impression is that they are not as “berryy” as they look.
Then "Orange & Lemon Whipped" . Orange peel is topped on a lemon-flavored coating.


Lemon-flavored whipped cream is sandwiched inside. The moment I put the knife in for shooting, the refreshing scent of lemon drifted!


The coated part has a strong lemon acidity, but the whipped cream is sweet, so it is a good balance. Including the orange peel topping, this is a solid citrus flavor overall.

The last is "Mixed Fruit & Yogurt Whipped Cream" . A mango-flavored coating is topped with mixed dried fruits such as raisins and pineapples.

When I tried it, the tropical aroma of mango glaze, the sweet and sour taste, and the slightly sour yogurt whipped cream matched well with the light-tasting dough. Personally, I liked it because it was the most summery!

All three types have a healthy mouthfeel that is lighter and crumbles than croissants. The texture is different from the usual fluffy donuts and you can eat it crisply. The first one was finished to "adult taste", but this time it expresses the juicy flavor of fruit as a whole, and I think it is easy to eat even in the hot season.

The introduced "Mr. Croissant Donut Fruit" will be on sale for a limited time until the end of August. I look forward to new flavors in the future!
