Yahoo! JAPAN's first employee cafeteria "BASE6" has opened near the Roppongi Midtown headquarters. Details of the location have not been disclosed, but it is said that it can be used by Yahoo! JAPAN employees, their families, and related parties depending on the time of day.


The lunch fee is "performance-linked", which changes depending on the company's performance. Specifically, if the company-wide profit target for the previous quarter is achieved, the lunch fee (540 yen per meal) for the next quarter will be free. If it is not achieved, 410 yen will be borne by the employee after deducting 130 yen borne by the company.


Many major IT companies make the menu of the employee cafeteria free, but the company said that it adopted the system, saying, "I want employees to feel closer to their goals." Alcohol is also served at dinner time from 18:00 to 23:00. People outside the company can also use it only at the same time if the employee invites them. Private rooms and private rooms can be reserved.
