KIRIMI-chan is a character based on the motif of "fillets" such as salmon. She is "a partner with many friends at the dinner table, waiting for people to eat her delicious food. Perhaps because of the novelty of the idea, the character became a hot topic of conversation immediately after its appearance and remained at the top of the poll during the voting period. In the end, it won with 35,324 votes out of a total of 138,166 votes cast.

Due to the popularity of KIRIMI-chan, the release of the goods, originally scheduled for summer 2014, has been moved up, and they will be available at Sanrio directly-managed stores, Sanrio corners in department stores, Kiddy Land, etc. from February 2014.
