The world's smallest apple "Tiddly Pomme" has been on sale in the UK since last week. The price is 1.49 British pounds (about 222 yen) in a pack of 6 pieces.


Tiddly Pomme is a mini version of a variety called "Royal Gala" cultivated in New Zealand. The feature is that the size is almost the same as a golf ball. According to the tasting person, Tiddly Pomme tastes between pear and apple. The crunchy texture is fun to eat, but it seems that the satisfaction after eating is a little lacking because the food is finished after just a few bites.

The product name Tiddly Pomme was decided by voting on Facebook. Other product name candidates include "Little Munch" and "Red Dwarf."
