Joel Durand is a chocolate specialty store using organic Provence materials made by Joel Durand, the youngest French chocolatier who won the "Club de Crocourt de Chocolat", which is said to be the French version of Michelin. There is a store in Ginza in Japan, but it seems that this Ginza main store is the world's first store with a cafe.
There are two types of Christmas cakes to be released this time: "Franpoise and Lemon Mousse Christmas Cake" and "Hazelnut and Earl Gray Chocolate Mousse Christmas Cake". Both types are priced at 5,775 yen per hole (15 cm x 15 cm) and are limited to 500 pieces.

Brittany-themed Christmas cakes with hazelnuts and Earl Gray chocolate mousse. The cake wrapped in couverture contains mousse made by straining Earl Gray tea and Gavotte, a traditional Brittany confectionery (baked crepe and caramelized). A total of 4 layers of cake with Hazelnut pralines from Provence sandwiched between them. Hmmm, gorgeous!
Reservations can be made at the store or from the website. Choosing a Christmas cake is difficult but fun, isn't it? Please add your favorite fashionable cake to your options!
