Heidi was also eating !? Sticking to the tortoise cheese--at the 150th anniversary event of the establishment of diplomatic relations in Switzerland

In 2014, Japan and Switzerland celebrated the 150th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. As part of the commemorative event, the official opening event "SWISS DAYS" is being held at Roppongi Hills Arena until February 9.

You can eat fascinating Swiss food! ??

At the arena, you can enjoy Swiss home-cooked food and fine Swiss wine, as well as various events such as Swiss sumo wrestling and live performances by Swiss artists, where you can learn about traditional Swiss culture.

There is also projection mapping!

The En-eating editorial department visited us on the first day and searched for delicious food!

First of all, I would like to introduce "Hot Cheese Tart" which is also eaten at home in Switzerland. Sold at the Swiss Days Kitchen booth.

Swiss Days Kitchen where you can easily enjoy Swiss cuisine

It's a side dish tart

The crispy texture and the taste of fragrant brown cheese are exquisite! There are two flavors, plain and olive & rosemary, both of which you can enjoy different tastes. The price is 400 yen for a set of two.

In addition to this shop, there is a Swiss version of okonomiyaki (?) "Rösti", which is made by baking finely chopped potatoes in a pancake-like shape, and a gratin-style dish of potatoes and macaroni mixed with cheese. There is a lineup of Swiss dishes that can be eaten warm, such as the dish "Alpra Magronen" (500 yen each).

You can eat freshly baked and others!

Next, go to the "Swiss Wine" booth, which is also the main purpose of today! It is crowded with many people in the cold.

Booth selling Swiss wine

A lot of "noble" wines

In fact, Switzerland's per capita wine consumption is among the top five in the world. Swiss people like wine, don't they? However, you don't see many Swiss wines in Japan. The reason is that Swiss people drink almost all of them in the country . Eh hey! Give me a drink too!

So I drank it.

Recommended wine of the shop

This time, I received the "Lavaux des Ale Grand Cru Medinette" (500 yen per cup), a white wine of "Chasselas" that is made in the world heritage vineyard (!). The taste is gentle and refreshing, but the mellow scent spreads in the mouth, which is very delicate. It's easy to drink and looks great with any dish. It seems that it goes well with "Japanese food" that was officially registered as a World Heritage Site the other day!

If you want something sweet, head to the booth of the Swiss chocolate brand "Lindt". Here you can taste warm hot chocolate.

Hot chocolate perfect for a cold day

Of the two types, "Lindt Hot Chocolate Drink Dark" (600 yen) and "Lindt Chocolat Speculaas Drink" (650 yen) with spices, I chose the latter. Spices seem to warm your cold body!

A sweet and spicy scent ...

When you take a sip, the bitter chocolate is thick and thick, and the scent of ginger and cinnamon is fluffy. Thanks to the spices, I never get tired of drinking it all the time. I'm warm from inside my body!

Suddenly, there was a booth with a particularly long line.

The most popular booth of the day is here!

This was a demonstration shop of Swiss cuisine where you eat steamed potatoes with Swiss cheese "raclette cheese"! The mellow scent of cheese drifts to this point. It looks delicious! !!

It smells good

Isn't this the one that the Alps girl also ate?

Hey! !! !!

Unfortunately I couldn't eat it due to various reasons, but it can't be delicious! The harmony of rich, thick cheese and potatoes, just imagined ...

On Koyomi, spring has already arrived (Lichun), but the outside air on that day was 5 degrees. It seems that the cold days will continue this weekend, with the forecast of snow coming out in Tokyo. But strangely, even this cold is perfect for a Swiss event, isn't it?

Let's enjoy the cold! So why don't you go to Roppongi to enjoy Switzerland this weekend? However, it's really cold like in the refrigerator, so be sure to take proper measures against the cold!

Please come visit us for a joint event between Switzerland and Japan!
