Cafe COMSA, which offers artful cakes that reflect the Japanese four seasons, will sell a shortcake using cherries, "Cherry Shortcake," for two days only. It will be on sale from May 21 to 22. The price is 1,600 yen per piece (tax included). The Ginza store has a different price and design.

Cherries, which bear small, round and lovely fruits, are also called "red jewels" and are a popular fruit in early summer. The sweet and sour taste of early summer can be enjoyed with this two-day limited edition shortcake, which uses an abundance of cherries and is beautifully decorated with pastry chef skills.

Cherry Shortcake

: Using an abundance of fresh and gently sweet cherries, this shortcake is decorated with honey jelly and cherry jelly. Inside is a combination of cherry cream, whipped cream and fluffy sponge. You can enjoy the deliciousness of cherries in this shortcake.

Cafe COMSA designates the 22nd of each month as "Shortcake Day. The day was chosen because the calendar has the 15th on top of the 22nd and strawberries (15th) are on top of the 22nd.
