Yamaya will be selling a convenient canned side dish "YAMAYA YUME CAN KARAAGE MENTAIKO TASTE". It will be available at the official online store. The release date is May 1. It will also be available at Yamaya directly-managed stores, train stations, and airport outlets. The product contains 65 grams and is priced at 540 yen (tax included).

With the spread of the new coronavirus, opportunities for cooking and eating at home have increased, and canned food, which can be used as a stockpile, is attracting attention. Against this backdrop, we decided to develop "canned type fried chicken" as the second product in the Umakan series against the backdrop of expanding sales channels for stockpiling and vending machines, in addition to being able to enjoy it at room temperature as a snack for home drinking and outdoor leisure activities.

In developing the product, we designed it to taste like Hakata Motsunabe Yamaya's signature menu item, "Chicken Karaage Mentai Flavor," and adjusted the flavor to match the canned product characteristics. The product is made with Yamaya's mentaiko seasoning and grilled cod roe to make it spicier and hotter than the restaurant's flavor.

YAMAYA YUMAYA YUMAYA CAN KARAAGE Mentaiko Flavor" is a canned deep-fried chicken dish made with Japanese young chicken marinated overnight in a spicy soy sauce sauce, slowly deep-fried in rapeseed oil, and tossed in a special spicy mentaiko sauce with a hint of red pepper, using YAMAYA's grilled cod roe. It can be enjoyed as is, but when heated, it becomes soft and fluffy, even the batter is moist and tender, making it a perfect accompaniment to rice or as a snack with alcohol.
