Joel Robuchon will be offering a limited time only sweet "Poisson d'Avril Fraise - Strawberry Pie". This fish-shaped pie, named after April Fool's Day in France, will be available in limited quantities from March 17 to April 1, 2023. Reservations are now being accepted. The price is 3,800 yen (tax included).

s Day on April 1 is called "Poisson d'avril" in France. Poisson" means fish and "d'avril" means April. Chocolatiers and patisseries display fish-shaped chocolates, cakes, and pies on their shelves. On this day, children eat these sweets or play tricks by secretly sticking fish-shaped pieces of paper on their backs.

Joel Robuchon's "Poisson d'Avril Fraise" is another nod to tradition. The crispy fish-shaped pie is decorated with seasonal strawberries and sweet and sour raspberries. Underneath the fresh strawberries, almond cream and custard cream are combined with rhubarb confiture, a common daily food in France, for a well-balanced sweet and sour taste.
