Why are Kameda's Kaki no Tane with Salt and
Smoked Oolu Kameda's Kakino Tane is so good? We were curious as to why they were so good, so we actually tried them!
Kaki-no-tane Why is it so good? The "Why is it so good?" seriesoffers a new way to enjoy Kameda's Kaki-no-tane, by combining the taste of unbaked Kaki-no-tane, which only employees know, with nuts covered with a generous amount of powder and "shio" (salt). The 50:50 ratio of nuts to kaki-no-tane gives the product a more special flavor than regular "Kaki-no-tane from Kameda".
The regular "Kaki-no-tane" is made by baking rice dough and then seasoning it with a secret soy sauce honey. On the other hand, Soyaki Kaki-no-tane is made without seasoning, and the dough is carefully baked to accentuate the original flavor of the rice.
The developer recommends shaking the individual packages of "Kaki-no-tane Why-Uma Series" before opening them. The powder covered by the nuts on the unglazed kaki no tane enhances the deliciousness of the kaki no tane.
Each pack of 4 bags is priced at around 330 yen (excluding tax). Available at supermarkets nationwide.
Why are Kaki-no-tane from Kameda so goodwhen eaten with
salt? The sweetness and savory flavor of the rice spreads slightly.
The cashew nuts are covered with a generous amount of truffle salt made from black truffles, giving them a strong flavor. The cashews have a rich and sharp saltiness that is typical of cashews. The truffle flavor is subdued, but the aroma that escapes into the nose creates a sense of luxury.
By eating the kaki no tane and cashew nut together, the flavors fuse in the mouth, creating a good balance of saltiness. The balance of salty and savory flavors is so good that you will find yourself reaching for the next one again.
The taste of
Kaki-no-taneis thin, while almonds covered with nut whiskey oak-scented smoked salt are thicker. The almonds are darker, with a light, crispy texture and a salty, savory, addictive taste. The smoky aroma is very strong and makes you want to drink beer.
You can enjoy the strange combination of kaki-no-tane and nuts. Personally, I liked the balance of about 4 kaki no tane: 1 nut. I think it is fun to eat while trying to find the balance you like.
