ITO EN Sakura Green Tea

I actually tried "Sakura Green Tea" sold by ITO EN, available in limited quantities from February 6. The estimated price is 172 yen per bottle (tax included).

Every year since 2015, Ito En has rolled out the "Oi Ocha" Sakura package to brighten up the sales floor in time for spring. This time, Sakura Green Tea, with a different spring-like aroma, will be newly released to coincide with spring, a season when people are more likely to try new things.

Tea "Sakura Green Tea" is a green tea beverage in which salted cherry leaves are extracted and blended with green tea to create a cherry blossom aroma that reminds us of the arrival of spring and a subtle astringent taste from green tea. The package is finished with a simple cherry blossom design without the product name. The product name "Sakura Green Tea" is written on a "strip of paper" hanging from the package. The reverse side of the "tanzaku" is a fortune, with a "great luck" prize (four types in all).


The cherry flavor is not too strong, but has a natural finish that spreads softly. It is easy to drink, and the scent of cherry blossoms comes like a spring breeze from beyond the taste of green tea. The gentle aftertaste is a perfect match.
