The flavor of the ingredients and the refreshing special sauce go perfectly with Matsunoya's "rice for tonkatsu". The rice is topped with shredded cabbage, which is processed in-house to ensure freshness and safety, and brings a slight sweetness to the dish. The key to the dish is the excellent "special sauce," a sweet soy sauce base with the delicious flavor of bonito and kelp dashi. To add a touch of tanginess to the dish, red ginger, a well-known ingredient at Matsuya, has been used as an accent. The snap peas and red ginger add color to the bowl. Cabbage is not available in Hokkaido, Kyushu, Yamaguchi, and Okinawa prefectures.
