In developing the cream puffs, the company went through a process of trial and error in search of a Japanese ingredient that would go well with the cream puffs. In the process of experimenting, they remembered the coffee shop boom and the coffee culture that took root during the period when the "Navona" commercial featuring Sadaharu Oh was aired. In his search for a Japanese ingredient that would go well with coffee, he came up with brown sugar.

The brown sugar gives the custard cream a "Japanese" taste and a rich, but not overpowering, soft sweetness.

The whipped cream made with Ethiopian mocha coffee is characterized by its fruity acidity and distinctive aroma. Its bitterness is moderate with a hint of sweetness, giving it an elegant taste.

The brown sugar custard cream and coffee whipped cream are carefully proportioned and made smooth so that the cream puffs taste their best when they are combined.
