Korakuen "Lightly Passed Soba

In the world of sumo, it is customary to eat chicken chanko-nabe as a "genkatsugi," or a way to "get through" a match without losing. In honor of this "genkatsu-tsugi," the broth is mainly made of Japanese "chicken" and is lightly flavored with soy sauce to ensure success.

Toppings include a "chicken cutlet" for victory, a "thickly baked egg" for a mark of success, a "narutomaki" to bring good luck, and a "nori" to ride on the nori (seaweed).
