Josuian will be offering its annual "Strawberry Daifuku". It will be available for a limited time from January 6 to the end of March 2023 at 21 directly-managed stores and through mail order, including the official online store. The sales period may vary depending on the strawberry harvest.

Josuian, located mainly in Hakata, Fukuoka, is known for its strawberry daifuku, in addition to its signature confectionery "Chikushi mochi", monaka (a sweet made from rice flour) named after Kuroda Josui, and seasonal josei cakes and daifuku.

January 5 has been designated as "Josuian's Strawberry Daifuku Day," and strawberry daifuku are made on this day every year. The strawberries are selected to have the best flavor and aroma of the season, and are combined with homemade smooth white bean paste and soft rice cake. For more information, please visit

Prices are 270 yen per piece (tax included), 1,124 yen for a set of 4, 1,664 yen for a set of 6, and 2,754 yen for a set of 10. After purchase, they must be stored at 10 degrees Celsius or lower. The official online store will only carry the 4-piece, 6-piece, and 10-piece sets, which can be ordered from December 30, 2022.
