Suehiroan New Product: Houjicha Cream Strawberry Daifuku

Suehiroan will sell a seasonal flavor of its popular strawberry daifuku, Houjicha Cream Strawberry Daifuku, for a limited time. The release date is January 3, 2023. It will be available at six directly managed stores in Kanagawa Prefecture and on the official website. Prices are 400 yen per piece and 1,600 yen for a pack of four (both including tax).

ifuku "Hojicha Cream Strawberry Daifuku" is a four-layer Daifuku made with rice cake made chewy and fluffy by a unique manufacturing method, and filled with smooth homemade sweet bean paste, hojicha whipped cream made from domestic hojicha tea, and strawberries. The Daifuku is made with a mochi dough with a very small amount of sugar, which can only be made at Suehiroan, and is moderately sweet to enhance the taste of the hojicha and strawberries.

The hojicha, made by carefully roasting domestic tea leaves, has a sweet and savory flavor. The hojicha leaves are carefully roasted in Japan, giving the whipped cream a sweet and savory taste. This is a "four-layer" Daifuku that cannot be made by machine. Each flavor is intertwined and well-balanced, a taste that can only be experienced when Daifuku is handmade by artisans.
