From Montere's "Wa Sweets" series, the winter-only "An Butter Castella" will be on sale from January 4, 2023 (Wednesday) to February 28, 2023 (Tuesday). It will be available at supermarkets nationwide.

The "Wa-Sweets" series, which combines the deliciousness of Western and Japanese sweets into one, has been selling dorayaki and taiyaki filled with fresh cream to great acclaim. This time, a new series of sweets will be developed, featuring the popular "Anko x Butter" taste, which is a perfect combination of the sweetness of anko (red bean paste) and the salty taste of butter.

The sponge cake is made by sandwiching red bean paste and milk cream in a dough baked with butter. The dough is baked to a moist texture with the addition of syrup and egg yolks, while still having the elasticity typical of sponge cakes.

The bean paste is an original flavorful red bean paste made from Hokkaido azuki beans. You can enjoy its elegant taste that matches the presence of the sponge cake and its smooth texture.

The milk cream is sweetened to match the red bean paste and dough. The milk cream has a slightly salty taste. The flavor of anko (red bean paste), butter, and saltiness spreads with the moist dough, creating an addictive taste.
