"Kurozu Matcha Panda Baum" Limited to Isetan Shinjuku Store

Katanukiya, a baum specialty store, has launched a new special panda baum limited to Isetan Shinjuku Store. It will be sold in a limited edition of 500 pieces as "Kuromame Matcha Panda Baum.

: A moist and gently sweet baumkuchen is layered with a layer of matcha cake with black soybeans and a layer of yuzu confiture in between.

Under the soft and fluffy almond-scented baum with a panda print is a layer of matcha pound cake with black bean amanatto from Tanba. The cake is made with a generous amount of Uji matcha green tea, which has a beautiful bright green color and a mild taste with little bitterness.


Between the baum and the matcha cake, a confiture of yuzu (citron) carefully cooked in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, is placed. The rich flavor of the cake is enriched by the refreshing aroma of yuzu.


The fun of molding the confiture has been preserved, and the package has been redesigned with a luxurious feel. It is a panda baum with a Japanese flavor suitable for New Year's greetings.
