More Japanese chestnut paste from Kumamoto Prefecture is used than in the white bean paste to create a rich and flavorful chestnut bean paste. The soft and smooth sweet potato bean paste is made from "Beniharuka" sweet potatoes produced in Kyushu and cooked in the famous Hakushu water at the foot of the Southern Alps. Brown Sugar Torayaki The renewed "Brown Sugar Torayaki" is made with mineral-rich brown sugar from Okinawa and wasanbon molasses from Kagawa, baked into a tiger pattern, and covered with red bean paste made from Hokkaido azuki beans cooked with famous Hakushu water. The tiger patterned dough is made by laying a sheet of paper on a griddle and pouring the dough over it. The dough is not baked directly on the griddle, which gives it a soft texture. The calorie count is 182 kcal per piece.
