KAMEYA RYOCHO will start selling "Sliced Yokan Yaki-imo" again this year for the fall season, to be sold until late November, at a price of 594 yen (tax included) per bag (2 pieces).

Kameya Ryoucho, founded in 1803, produces a wide variety of sweets, from seasonal sweets to confections that reflect the times. A new type of Japanese confectionary, baked with the autumn taste of "baked sweet potato" and "yokan" on top of bread, will make its reappearance this fall.

Sliced Yokan Yaki-imo

A sheet of yokan that tastes like sweet potato when toasted on bread. The rich baked sweet potato is blended with homemade caramel and fresh cream to create a Western-style flavor that is easy for even children to enjoy. It is half and half with "Ogura Yokan" made from Tanba Dainagon azuki beans, so you can enjoy it twice in one sheet. The "burnt butter yokan" with a hint of Okinawan salt is added as an accent so that you will never get tired of eating it until the very end.

The word "yaki-imo" in the upper left corner of the yaki-imo-colored package is a handmade "imo-plate" made by the staff. This is a product that is "full of sweet potatoes," both in its confectionery and in its dress. Since it is reasonably priced and full of fun, we recommend it not only for home use, but also as a small gift.
