World Neighbors Cafe Kiyosumi-Shirakawa

World Neighbors Cafe Kiyosumi-Shirakawa is located on the first floor of the World Neighbors Kiyosumi-Shirakawa social apartment building. A laundry is located next door.


The signature menu item is hot sandwiches. This time, I ordered the "WNC Sandwich," which bears the restaurant's name, as part of the lunch set offered from open to 3 pm. The price with a drink is 1,300 yen (tax included).



The customer pays at the cash register first, and when the food is ready, the customer goes to the counter to pick it up. Hot sandwiches are made one by one after ordering, so you will have to wait at your seat for about 10 minutes for the sandwiches to be ready. When the name you gave when you placed your order is called, go pick up your sandwich.

WNC Sandwich

The WNC Sandwich features sautéed pork, orange, arugula, cheddar cheese, gouda cheese, and pickles. The sandwich is sandwiched on brown bread that has a savory and sweet flavor the more you chew it.


The umami of the sautéed pork is perfectly paired with the sweet and sour flavor of the juicy orange, and the two types of cheese give it a hearty, delicious flavor. The meat is more plentiful than you might imagine, which is another great point.


The coleslaw is served as an accompaniment. The creamy, mild flavor goes well with the crispy cabbage and is a nice palate cleanser.


The lunch set includes a choice of coffee (hot or iced), rooibos tea (hot or iced), orange juice, or apple juice. The image shows hot rooibos tea.


Hot sandwiches and other items on the menu can also be taken out. Kiba Park is just across the street from the restaurant, so we recommend enjoying it on a park bench when the weather is nice!
