551 HORAI's "551 Chimaki," which is sold alongside the pork buns, is a flavorful item with many ingredients cooked with glutinous rice. It is characterized by its rich flavor, which is made with a special care given to the bamboo skin. The standard flavors are "Pork and Chestnut Chimaki" with green strings, "Chicken and Quail Chimaki" with orange strings, and "Kaisen Chimaki" with white strings, and seasonal flavors are also available.

The "Chimaki with Matsutake Mushrooms" is marked by a purple string. Each chimaki weighs 110 grams and contains 225 calories.

To eat, prepare a household steamer or a rice cooker and steam the chimaki until the steam rises, then place the chimaki on the steamer and steam. It is said to be enjoyed fluffed up as if it were freshly made. Estimated heating time is about 10-15 minutes for 1-5 pieces. In the case of a microwave oven, heat by placing on a plate and covering with plastic wrap. When heating refrigerated products at 500 W output, the recommended cooking time is approximately 1 minute for 1 piece and 1 minute and 40 seconds for 2 pieces. It is noted that over heating will cause the skin to become tough.
