DEMEL will introduce "Marron and Poppy Seed Kugloff" and "Kleinekuchen (Marron and Poppy Seed)" as autumn season limited sweets. They will be available at department stores nationwide and at the official online store from early September.

Marron and Poppy Seed Kugloff" is a traditional Austrian pastry baked in a kugloff mold, which is shaped like a hat with a diagonal swell. It is said that marron glacé is added to the dough kneaded with mohn-masse, a slowly cooked poppyseed paste, and baked to moist perfection. The soft flavor of the marrons and the crunchy texture of the poppy seeds are said to be a delightful combination. The box measures 14.0 x 14.0 x 6.0 cm and retails for 1,296 yen (tax included).

Kleinekuchen (marron and poppy seed)

The "Kleinekuchen (Marron and Poppy Seed)" is a rich chocolate ganache with marron glace kneaded into it, wrapped in a dough with mornmassé kneaded into it and baked to perfection. The combination of different textures of elegantly sweet marron glace and savory poppy seeds can be enjoyed. The box contains 6 pieces and measures 12.0 x 17.0 x 4.5 cm, priced at 1,296 yen.

Both are said to be suitable for serving with hot drinks during the season when the cool mornings and evenings bring a hint of autumn.
