Funabashiya will sell "Usagi no Anmitsu" only at select stores, available only at Ecute Tachikawa store from August 30 to September 10 and at Daimaru Tokyo store from September 1 to September 10. The price is 500 yen (tax included).
Usagi no Anmitsu
Funabashiya's kuzumochi is usually cut into trapezoidal shapes, but "Usagi no Anmitsu" is cut into a rabbit shape to match the moon viewing. The rabbit-shaped kuzumochi, which looks as if it is about to pop out, is a perfect souvenir, and includes artisan-made sweet bean paste and refreshing lemon yokan. It can be enjoyed with a drizzle of rich, secret brown sugar (can be changed to white sugar). The time for tsukimi is almost here again this year, and September 10, the night of the 15th, is a day to appreciate the beautiful moon and give thanks for the autumn harvest. The Mid-Autumn Moon is one of the most popular events in Japan, and why not make it a little bit special by enjoying Funabashiya's special Anmitsu, available only at select stores?
