Hakata Mentaiko Jaga Croquette

Mai-izumi is known for its tonkatsu (pork cutlet) and katsu sandwiches, but it also offers a variety of deep-fried items each season. The Hakata Mentaiko Jaga Croquette, as the name suggests, is made of Hakata mentaiko (cod roe) and Hokkaido potatoes, and coated with Maisen's signature breadcrumbs.

The croquette is said to have a delightful texture with the bite of the mentaiko, the crunchiness of the potatoes, and the crispiness of the batter. The croquettes can also be enjoyed on their own with the salty taste of mentaiko.

In principle, the croquettes are sold at Mai-izumi directly-operated stores nationwide. However, they will not be sold at stores that do not handle fried foods. The selling price is rounded up to reflect the reduced tax rate of 8%. Prices may differ at stores that round down their prices. For the location and business hours of directly managed stores, please visit the official website for a list.
