The "Beef Nabe-Style Beef Shigureni" is a collaboration between Kakiyasu Honten and the popular character "Chibimaruko-chan" and will be available from August 22, 2012. The price is 1,080 yen per piece (tax included), and 2,800 yen for an assortment of two pieces in a box.

Beef pot-style beef shigureni

Based on the concept of "beef hot pot," which is the origin of Kakiyasu, which started as a beef hot pot restaurant, the company's signature menu item, "shigureni beef stew," has been made with a different flavor, allowing customers to enjoy the delicious taste of meat even more. The beef and burdock root are also included in the dish, making it a hearty accompaniment to white rice or a snack for sake, and it can also be arranged in a variety of ways.

The package comes in two designs: "Maruko and her grandfather Tomozo" and "Maruko and her grandmother Kotake" with cute illustrations. When you open the package, you will find a hidden four-frame cartoon of "Chibi Maruko-chan," which is designed to be a pleasant surprise when you give it as a gift. It is also suitable as a souvenir or for Respect-for-Senior-Citizens Day, which will be celebrated on September 19.
