Watermelon from Obanazawa City, Yamagata Prefecture

Yamagata Prefecture is the third largest producer of watermelons in Japan, but it is also the largest producer of summer watermelons in Japan. Obanazawa City in Yamagata Prefecture, the main production area, is located in a basin with the Mogami River to the west and the Ou Mountains to the east. The temperature difference unique to the basin and the nutrient-rich black soil produce watermelons with a crispy texture, high water content, and a strong sweetness.

The Ginza store will be offering the "Golden Rao Cake".
Prices and designs are subject to change depending on the availability of fruits.
