The "Baumkuchen Expo," an event featuring local baum from 47 prefectures, will be held this fall. A total of three department stores in Nagoya and Tokyo will serve as venues for the event.

This year's event will be held at Matsuzakaya Nagoya from September 21 to 26, Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro from October 27 to November 1, and Keio Department Store Shinjuku from November 3 to 8.

At Matsuzakaya Nagoya store, there will be a "Sweet Boys Talk Event & Checking Session" featuring idol group Sweet Boys as official special supporters, and you can also participate in the "Final Kuchen General Election 2022 Autumn @ Matsuzakaya Nagoya Store" to vote for your favorite local baum, and "Local baum from 47 prefectures You can also taste "Local baum of 47 prefectures".

At the "Brand Booth," visitors can enjoy baum from popular stores that they cannot usually taste. At "Baumkuchen BAR47," visitors can enjoy bite-sized baumkuchen platters, and "freshly baked baumkuchen" baked by AI craftsman "THEO" will be available for visitors to enjoy. Experience making baumkuchen at Table Baum! will also be available. Share the Baum" will also be held, in which proceeds from the sale of uneven baumkuchen will be used to provide snacks for children throughout Japan.

Sweet-Tooth Boys Talk Event & Checkers

A sweet-tooth boys talk event will be held at Matsuzakaya Nagoya store on September 24, where they will talk about the charm of local baum. Details will be announced on the official Baumkuchen Expo website and on the official Twitter account.

Sweet Party Boys is a seven-member unit whose concept is sweets. All of them are sweets lovers and hold the qualification of sweets concierge. They sing only songs named after sweets, and their song "Baumkuchen" was released on August 3, 2012.

Final Kuchen General Election 2022 Autumn at Matsuzakaya Nagoya Store

The "Final Kuchen General Election 2022 Autumn @ Matsuzakaya Nagoya Store" will be held from September 8 to October 10 online and from September 21 to September 26 at Matsuzakaya Nagoya Store. The final results announcement and award ceremony will be held inside Tobu Department Store's Ikebukuro flagship store. Baumkuchen purchased at the venue or at the Baumkuchen Expo official online store during the event will be counted as one vote.

Of those who vote online for the top five baumkuchen, 50 will be selected by lottery to receive a baumkuchen. Those who vote at Matsuzakaya Nagoya store will also receive one baum.

Local baum from each of the 47 prefectures

More than 280 types of baum from 165 brands will be available at the "47 Prefectures Local Baum" event. The variety of baum items is said to be pleasing to both the eye and the palate, including simple baum, fruit baum, baum with soy sauce, and baum with unique shapes that make you want to take pictures of them. The following items will be available at Matsuzakaya Nagoya. Please note that the brands exhibited may be subject to change.

Baumkuchen BAR47

At "Baumkuchen BAR47," you can enjoy a bite-sized assortment of five of your favorite baum from among 47 types of local baum. It is also useful as a reference for shopping at the "Local Baum Corner.

The menu consists of a plate of "5 kinds of your favorite baumkuchen" for 470 yen (tax included, same below). Hot coffee, iced coffee, and mineral water will be available as drinks for 150 yen each. The menu will end as soon as all of the drinks are gone.

Baumkuchen will be baked 9 times a day by the AI baking machine "THEO" dedicated to baumkuchen. The baumkuchen is rich in egg flavor and can only be tasted at the venue. The baked fresh baumkuchen is available for 432 yen per piece, and the baum fritters are available for 486 yen per cup.



The baking time of the first batch starts at 10:30 a.m., the second at 11:30 a.m., the third at 12:30 p.m., the fourth at 1:30 p.m., the fifth at 2:30 p.m., the sixth at 3:30 p.m., the seventh at 4:30 p.m., the eighth at 5:30 p.m. and the ninth at 6:30 p.m. each day. However, the 8th session will end on the last day.

You can be a baumkuchen maker! Experience making baumkuchen at Table Baum! You can bake and try baumkuchen by yourself. It takes about 30 minutes and is open from 10:00 to 18:30 on each day. On the last day, the bakery will close at 5:30 pm. Children under elementary school age are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The participation fee is 1,100 yen, which includes a souvenir.

Share the Baum" sells "ross baumkuchen," which are baked without additives and are irregular in shape and size. The proceeds from the sale of the baum will be converted into baum and delivered nationwide through the Otera Oyakyu Club, which works to address the issue of child poverty.
