The price is 1,890 yen per piece (tax included, the same below), or 18,900 yen for a 25cm-size whole.

According to Kirfevon, the Golden Pearl is an original variety developed in Shimane Prefecture and has been grown exclusively in the prefecture for about half a century. It is very sensitive to changes in the environment, and requires thorough temperature and humidity control in accordance with the climate, as well as careful care as it grows.

Because of the difficulty of this cultivation method, only a few farmers in Shimane Prefecture produce this very rare variety. Also, because only one melon is left on each plant to concentrate nutrients and flavor, it is characterized by a sweeter taste than ordinary melons.

This time, the crispy tart and custard cream were decorated with golden pearls, and Macallan, an aromatic whiskey, was used to enhance the melon flavor. The melting sweetness and mellow aroma are said to be enjoyable.
