Oisix has released meal kits featuring characters from the picture book "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," such as "Kit Oisix 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar's Sun Salad,'" "Kit Oisix 'Enjoy Traditional Vegetables! Harapeko Risotto" and "Harapeko Caterpillar Challenge Sheet" will be available.

Kit Oisix "Harapeko Aomushi no Hiyasama Salad

Kit Oisix "Hungry Little Caterpillar's Sun Salad" will be available from July 28 to August 4. The price is 1,393 yen for two servings (tax included).

This dish expresses the world of "The Hungry Catapillar" in vivid colors. The dressing makes use of the carrot peels from the process of making cut carrots in Oisix's meal kit "Kit Oisix. The specially cultivated vegetables are used without any of the carrot peels, giving the dish an aroma and a bright color. It is put forth in the hope that children will learn about food loss and that parents and children will have a chance to think about the global environment together.

Also, "Enjoy traditional vegetables! Harapeko Risotto" uses "Oka Hijiki," a traditional vegetable from Yamagata Prefecture, as an ingredient. Children will learn about unfamiliar ingredients, and "green vegetables," which children tend to avoid, will be presented in a fun way through the world of Harapeco and Caterpillar, encouraging children to eat vegetables willingly.

Oka Hijiki, a traditional vegetable from Yamagata Prefecture, is used in this dish. The dish is presented as being enjoyable not only for children but also for adults with the aroma of salted malted bacon and torn basil. The acidity of the tomatoes used in the finishing touch also accentuates the vegetables, making the dish a natural way to eat vegetables. As a bonus, two collaborative luncheon mats are included.

The Hungry Catapillar Challenge Sheet

The Hungry Caterpillar Challenge Sheet will be delivered in three weekly installments from July 21 to August 11. The price is free of charge.


Each family will receive 10 sheets of stickers each week to help their children grow during the summer holiday period by setting goals such as "Eat rice without leaving any leftovers" and "Do exercises every day!
