Yoshinoya has released "Tokugyu Salacia Premium," a frozen beef bowl filling, which has been on sale at Yoshinoya's official mail order store, Aeon, and Aeon Style (excluding Hokkaido, Kyushu, and Okinawa) since July 11, 2012.

Tokugyu Salacia Premium" contains 0.5 mg of salacinol, a salacia extract, in the sauce of the frozen beef bowl. It is a Food for Specified Health Use approved by the Japanese government for its effectiveness and safety in reducing the absorption of sugar ingested from meals and slowing the rise in blood glucose levels after meals.
