Ootoya "Kokusan Unaju" (domestic eel)

Eels from Kagoshima Prefecture are used in this dish, which is characterized by its natural fat and firm texture. The eel is then coated with a special sauce that contains no coloring or food additives, and is grilled slowly over charcoal after being dipped in sauce four times and broiled four times. The plump and meaty "domestic eel" from Kagoshima Prefecture is the perfect reward for the day of the ox in the dog days of Doyou.
