Yayoiken's cold soup is one of a series of set meals featuring local cuisine from various regions of Japan, and this year marks the 14th year since its launch in 2009 that it has become a popular summer product. This year, the cool and refreshing set meal that blows away the summer heat is back again, this time with more power.


The cold soup is a cold miso soup with tofu, cucumber, and ice. It is a local dish filled with the wisdom of Miyazaki, a southern prefecture, and can be eaten cold and refreshing even when one's appetite is low during the summer.


The miso is a blend of two types that have been aged for different periods of time. The miso soup of other set meals can be changed to cold soup for an additional 180 yen, or ordered separately (280 yen).

The "Tori Nanban" is a dish that is strongly reminiscent of Miyazaki Prefecture. It is a hearty yet refreshing Miyazaki specialty, made with crispy fried chicken thighs and topped with sweet vinegar and tartar sauce. The "Tori Nanban (single dish)" is priced at 390 yen.
