Cocos will hold its classic summer "Fluffy Pure Ice Shaved Ice Fair" from July 1.

Fluffy Pure Ice Shaved Ice Fair

Every year, Cocos holds a shaved ice fair featuring pure, fluffy shaved ice that is as good as that at specialty stores. This year, under the theme of "Pure Ice Cafe Cocos," the retro-inspired "Shirokuma" and "Melon Soda" will make a new appearance. In addition, a total of seven types of shaved ice will be available: "Pop Blue" and "Watermelon," which were popular last year, and "Strawberry," "Ujikintoki," and "Mango," which are brushed-up versions of the standard items. Priced at 759 yen each (tax included, same below).

White bear

Shirokuma, a specialty of Kagoshima Prefecture, is arranged in Cocos style. This luxurious dish is made with an abundance of fruit: mandarin oranges, kiwi, bananas, ruby grapefruit, and apples. Inside the shaved ice, azuki beans, an essential ingredient for "Shirokuma," are hidden. Drizzle with milk syrup, which is served separately.

Melon Soda

A shaved ice version of the melon soda served at old-fashioned coffee shops. Shaved ice topped with bright green melon syrup and vanilla ice cream, topped with fluffy whipped topping and cherries in syrup. An optional crackling candy gives the soda a pop-in-your-mouth feel, making it look and taste just like a real melon soda.

Pop Blue

A refreshing pop blue syrup with a summery blue color and passion fruit flavor is poured over the top and decorated with fluffy whipped topping. By pouring on the optional crackling candy and lemon syrup, you can enjoy the crackling sound, the texture of the pop in your mouth, and the vivid change in color, making this a product to be savored by all five senses.

Watermelon

Shaved ice is a representation of watermelon, a summer delicacy. The red flesh is represented by the watermelon syrup, the green skin by the melon syrup, and the seeds by the chocolate topping. The optional salt can be sprinkled on the shaved ice to give it a sweeter taste, just like real watermelon.

Strawberry

The classic strawberry shaved ice with fluffy whip and rich white chocolate flakes adds a sweet shortcake-like texture. Strawberry syrup and milk syrup are served separately.

Uji Kintoki

A simple dish that allows you to enjoy the taste and aroma of bittersweet matcha green tea. It is topped with matcha syrup and matcha powder, and then topped with sticky shiratama (white rice balls) and boiled azuki beans.

Mango

Made with mango syrup with alphonso mango puree and orange juice for added freshness. Topped with frozen mango, it is a satisfying product.

In addition, mini-size versions perfect for after-meal consumption are also available. Mini Strawberry, Mini Uji Kintoki, Mini Mango, and Koguma (Shirokuma mini size) are priced at 429 yen each.
