Gusto's new menu items for early summer are "Umami Spicy Shirinashi Tantanmen", "Kaisen Sara Udon", "Chilled Salted Lemon Ramen", "Lemon Chicken Butter Sautee & Shrimp and Yam Okra Tofu", which will be available from May 26 to July 13.
Deliciously spicy soupless tantanmen
The "Utsukushin Shiranashi Tantanmen" is a dish of firm Chinese noodles covered with a spicy meat miso paste. You can enjoy the refreshing hotness of hwasho (Chinese pepper) and hot red pepper oil. The spiciness can be adjusted to your liking with the optional hot red pepper oil. The price is 769 yen (tax included).
Kaisen Sara Udon
Kaisen Sara Udon is crispy noodles topped with a thick red bean paste containing shrimp and squid. You can add Nagasaki-born Worcestershire sauce "Kingyo Sauce", vinegar, or mustard to taste. The price is 879 yen.
Cold Salted Lemon Ramen
Chilled Shio Lemon Ramen is made with a clear broth containing Setouchi lemon juice, which is refreshing and aromatic. It is served with toppings such as steamed chicken and tomatoes. The noodles are made with spinach kneaded into the noodles and have 35% less sugar than regular Chinese noodles. The price is 769 yen.
Lemon Chicken Sauteed in Butter & Shrimp and Yam Okra Tofu
Lemon Chicken Butter Sautéed with Shrimp and Okra Tofu" is a dish supervised by cookery expert Naoyo Fujimoto. The sautéed chicken is dipped in a soy butter sauce and served with a squeeze of lemon for a refreshing taste. The two dishes together contain only 5.1g (0.04oz) of carbohydrate, making it a low-carbohydrate yet satisfying meal. The price is 989 yen.
