DOUNOURA

Opened in 2011 in the late-night drinking district of Tokushima Prefecture, this ramen restaurant now has six outlets, mainly in Naruto City. At lunchtime, it offers a special lunch of ramen noodles and sashimi. At night, some of the restaurants become izakayas (Japanese style pubs) where banquets can be held, while others offer meals with a view of the sea.

The signature dish is the "Sea bream salt ramen," which was created by the founder in hopes of "giving people an affordable way to enjoy the delicious fish I enjoyed as a child in my mother's hometown of Dounoura. In addition to the signature "Tai no Shio Ramen", "Untan Ramen" and "Mentaiko Ramen" are also popular.
