On June 1, Kikusuido will release "Dekitate Potato Chip, Fermented Somifa" using freeze-dried "Fermented Somifa"; two boxes of three bags (120g (4.23oz)) each, priced at 2,100 yen (tax included, shipping not included).
Fresh Potato Chip Fermented Somifa
Fermented Somifa is made from rice malt and soybeans, the same ingredients used in domestic miso, and is fermented without salt. By adding freeze-dried "Fermented Somifa" to "Freshly Made Potato Chips" made from domestic potatoes, salt, and vegetable oil, the product has the flavor and functionality of fermented foods and is a uniquely Japanese potato chip. The product will first be available as a mail order only product on the Kikusuido operated mail order site from June 1 at noon. Ingredients are potatoes (domestic, non-genetically modified), vegetable oil (rice oil, palm oil), powdered soybean fermented food (soybeans, rice), and salt.
