Shiseido Parlor Ginza Salon de Café will be offering the "Azuma Odori Parfait" and "Shinbashi Color Ice Cream Soda" as part of the "Azuma Odori" special menu from May 10 to May 29.

Higashi Odori Parfait

Shinbashi geisha have been our customers since our establishment in 1902 (35th year of Meiji). The connection is so deep that there is an episode in which a shamisen stand was built in the restaurant for geisha to take a break from their shamisen practice with a glass of soda water. In honor of "Azuma Odori," a festival held in May this year in the Shimbashi Hanayagikai, which conveys the elegance and splendor of the Edo period, we have created a dessert that evokes the elegant and chic behavior of the Shimbashi geisha.

The "Higashi Odori Parfait" expresses the Japanese atmosphere of the Higashi Odori festival using matcha green tea produced in Shizuoka Prefecture. The main flavors are sorbet and ice cream with a refreshing tea flavor, and traditional vanilla ice cream. A bangaso (umbrella) is decorated to create a chic geisha look. In the late Meiji period (1868-1912), geisha in Shinbashi preferred to wear blue-green kimonos, which became popular among the public and was called "Shinbashi color. This color was expressed with green apple-flavored syrup, lemon, and ginger ale. To finish the drink, traditional vanilla ice cream is floated on top. The price is 1,150 yen (tax included).
