Funabashiya, a manufacturer and seller of kuzumochi, will offer "Omatcha Fruits Anmitsu" for a limited time only. It will be available from May 10 to May 31. The price is 600 yen (tax included).

The spring color of cherry blossoms has given way to leafy cherry blossoms and lush greenery, and the spring flavor of "Omatcha Fruits Anmitsu" is still to be enjoyed. The rich matcha bean paste and Funabashiya's homemade rich molasses are an excellent match. The combination of agar agar and stewed apples adds a delightful texture. The seasonal melon adds a refreshing accent. The menu includes agar agar, green tea bean paste, red peas, stewed apples, melon, mandarin oranges, wolfberries, kuzumochi (kuzumochi rice cake), and white rice balls.

About Funabashiya

Founded in 1805 during the Edo period, Funabashiya is a Kanto style kuzumochi shop celebrating its 217th year in business in 2022. Funabashiya's Kuzumochi is a fermented food made by steaming "wheat starch" after 450 days of lactic acid fermentation. The long lactic acid fermentation process produces a unique crunchiness and elasticity. Funabashiya also wants to deliver natural products as they are, so they continue to stick to a natural manufacturing process that does not use preservatives.
