Oyazuka Company "Cod Carari (salt flavor)

Oyatsu Company has released "Cod Carari (Shio Flavor)," a snack for home-drinking, which has been available at convenience stores nationwide since May 2, 2012. The product has a content of 30g (1.06oz) and an estimated price of around 173 yen (including tax).

Cod Carari (Shio Flavor)

It is considered to be the snack for pickles by Oyatsugu Company, following "Oyatsumamimaru" and "Oyatsuchinmi". The snacks are designed to spread the rich flavor of codfish along with a crispy, light texture that sets them apart from conventional codfish snacks. When drinking sake, it is considered to be a light snack that does not fill you up, and is intended only as an accompaniment to sake to enhance the taste of sake.

Thinly spread cod fish paste is baked once to bring out its flavor, and then fried in oil to create savory and textured chips. The fishy smell characteristic of the delicacy is suppressed by baking and deep frying, and the saltiness of the original flavor of the cod is brought out to create a mouthful of cod flavor every time you bite into them.
