Mos Burger "Shrimp Chili Style Burger" and "Shrimp Katsu Burger

The "Shrimp Chili Style Burger" will be available at Mos Burger from May 18 to mid-July (except at some stores). At the same time, the regular "Shrimp Katsu Burger" will be renewed.

Shrimp Chili Style Burger

Last year, Mos Burger sold "Ebi Katsu Lobster Sauce", a burger using shrimp, for a limited time and sold more than 2 million servings. Following the popularity of the burger, Mos Burger has developed this new product with the aim of "maximizing the tastiness of shrimp as a burger.

The "Shrimp Chili Style Burger" is an adaptation of Mos's classic "Shrimp Katsu Burger" in the style of "Shrimp Chili," a popular Chinese dish among the Japanese. The burger is made with plenty of peeled shrimp, crispy fried shrimp cutlets, dipped in a "umakara" shrimp chili style sauce, and topped with shredded lettuce.

The shrimp chili sauce is based on tomato ketchup with garlic, ginger, and soy bean sauce added. Amazake (alcohol-free sake) is added to bring out the sweetness and flavor of the shrimp. The price is 460 yen (tax included).

Ebi Katsu Burger

The "Ebi Katsu Burger" was first sold for a limited time in December 2000, and became a regular item in October of the following year due to strong customer demand. The shrimp cutlet is topped with crispy cabbage slices and Mos original lemon tartar sauce.

In this renewal, the balance between richness and acidity was reviewed, the lemon flavor was slightly weakened, and the egg flavor was increased to strengthen the overall richness of the sauce. Basil and other ingredients that go well with lemon and shrimp have been added to add flavor and make the sauce more appealing to the shrimp cutlet. The price is 410 yen (tax included).
