Murakami Kaishindo's pre-order limited cookie tin

Murakami Kaishindo" is a confectionery store established in 1874. Have you ever heard of the "cookie tin" sold here? We actually tried this premium product that only members can buy and have to wait for about a year!

Murakami Kaishindo has been handmade since its establishment, and the amount of cookies it can make each day is extremely limited. Therefore, all products must be ordered by reservation only. If you are ordering for the first time, you must be referred by someone who is already using Murakami Kaishindo and register their name.

Starting in January 2021, referrals are limited to one person per year. There is also a limit to the number of cookies you can purchase, each can being extremely valuable! The author was introduced by an acquaintance and waited about a year to receive the cookies.

I ordered the smallest size (No. 0 can), priced at 7,000 yen per can (tax included). It is carefully packaged. The can is a soft pink color with a simple design.

Murakami Kaishindo's cookies are baked one by one using a die while checking the cookie dough. The cookie tin is only completed when it is packed in a can with no gaps. Various spices are used in moderation, making it hard to believe that they were created by someone born in the Meiji era.

While the flavors of Jiro the 3rd are the foundation of the company, some things have changed a little over time. Matcha meringue and black tea and spice sablé are flavors that have changed in recent years. The tins come in a total of six different sizes. They are sold in assortments only. The shelf life is three months from production.

When you open the tin, you will find a huge assortment of cookies inside! It looks like a jewelry box! The flavors of the cookies in the box are as follows.

Only one piece was cracked, but the rest is fine!

These cookies are softly flavored with cinnamon and have a chewy texture. With so many flavors to choose from, it's hard to decide which one to try first!

The meringue is light and melts in your mouth. The coffee cookies have a fluffy, bittersweet flavor, and the curry cookies have a strong curry aroma! The cookies wrapped in silver packaging are also delicious.

The Biscuit & Berry Jam is a unique jam with a unique texture that goes well with the crispy biscuit. The generous amount of cookies is very satisfying! A tin of cookies like a jewel box to enjoy a little at a time.
