Oyakodon, a bowl of rice topped with chicken and eggs, has been on sale at Yoshinoya since April 19 (except at some stores), making a comeback after a 10-year absence.

Yoshinoya "oyakodon" (chicken and egg bowl)

In order to revive the "oyakodon" after a 10-year absence, the product developers created a product based on the concept of "oyakodon" that is so good and easy to eat that you can't stop using chopsticks or a bamboo shoots. After 10 years of trial and error to realize this concept, the product was finally completed. We are particularly particular about the sauce and pricing.

Oyako-don" is cooked to order and served hot. The chicken, onions, and sauce are simmered in a pot, then two eggs are beaten and poured over the chicken and rice, which takes a little longer to serve than beef bowls.

The sauce and eggs embrace the chicken, onions, and rice. You can enjoy the texture of the thick and smooth egg, the plump chicken, and the crisp onions, as well as the robust umami and deep flavor.

The sauce is based on dark soy sauce, mirin (mirin), and molasses sugar, with flavors of bonito flakes from Yaizu and kelp from Hokkaido, and an extract with the umami of chicken added. The deep taste of umami and flavor is well balanced. When the oyakodon arrives, the aroma of the dashi broth wafts in the air, and the fragrant smell is very appetizing.

To make it easy to enjoy, the price of a bowl of oyakodon is set at 400 yen or less, and the "oyakodon jumamimori" is priced at 398 yen (437 yen including tax). The "oyako-don tamamori" is double the amount of chicken and 1.5 times the amount of rice of the "oyako-don namamori" and is priced at 568 yen (624 yen including tax).
