Kara-Age Kun with Plenty of Tartar Sauce Flavor

KARAAGE-KUN Plenty Tartar Sauce Flavor is a KARAAGE-KUN filled with tartar sauce with a smooth texture made from pickles and onions. Experimental sales showed that the product was purchased with alcoholic beverages and prepared foods during the evening and night hours from 4:00 p.m. to midnight, mainly by men and women in their 20s to 40s (according to Ponta data).

In 2019, Lawson will launch "Cho-Karaage-Kun: Arabi Pepper Mayo Flavor" with mayonnaise, using the "ingredient wrapping method" that allows for sauces and ingredients to be placed in unprecedented sizes; in 2020, "Karaage-Kun: Hakata Mentaiko and mayonnaise in the grains. In July 2022, the second "Sauce in" series will be released.

In 1986, Lawson launched "Kara-Age-Kun" as a fried food that could be "picked up with your fingers and eaten while walking around. In addition to the regular, red, Hokkaido cheese, and lemon flavors, LAWSON has released a total of 321 flavors (as of March 31, 2022), including regional specials, specialty store supervised flavors, and animated and movie collaborations. KARAAGE-KUN uses 100% domestic young chicken meat and 100% domestic wheat flour for karaage flour. Foreign wheat is used in the same line during the flour production process.
