Eiya Dairy's "Andeico" brand will introduce "Salted Batakaman Puff Ice Cream. The product is an ice cream version of Takara Seika's "Shiobatakaman" sweet, and will be available at some mass merchandisers from April 1, and nationwide from June 1. The estimated price is 172 yen per piece (tax included).

Eiya Nyugyo offered Takara Seika to jointly develop an ice cream puff with the "Salt Butter Kaman" that has become a hot topic on social networking sites. The Salted Butter Kaman is a mild Camembert cheese cream sandwiched between two crispy, salted butter cookies.

The new Salted Batakaman Puff Ice Cream features cheese ice cream made with Camembert cheese and cream cheese, the richness of cheese and egg yolks, and the gentle saltiness of French Lorraine rock salt.

The outside is made of puff pastry dough with cookie dough carefully hand-applied one by one and baked to a golden brown. Both the puff pastry dough and cookie dough are made with butter and Lorraine salt from France. The calorie count is 161 kcal per piece.
