This time, "Miyakojima Melon Tart" and "Miyakojima Melon Parfait" will be available.

Miyako Island Melon Tart

The "Miyakojima Melon Tart" is, as the name suggests, a cake made of Miyakojima melon from Okinawa Prefecture. The price is 702 yen (tax included, same below).

According to Ginza Sembikiya, Miyakojima Island, which was formed by coral uplift, has well-drained soil, which is suitable for growing melons, for which water management is difficult. The components of Ryukyu limestone contained in the soil produce a high sweetness with a sugar content of 14 degrees or higher, and furthermore, it is said that the melons develop a higher mellow sweetness when they are ripened.
