~Okayama's Specialty - Torimeshi Bento

Hotto Motto's "Okayama Specialty - Torimeshi Bento" features rice topped with nori (seaweed), a dashimaki tamago (rolled egg), kinpira (dried mushrooms), and three pieces of karaage (deep-fried chicken).

Each karaage is sliced into three equal portions and arranged so that the cross section can be seen. The dish is served with a thick, sweet and spicy sauce made from honjozo soy sauce, sweetened with mirin (sweet cooking rice wine) and sugar, and flavored with bonito flakes.

It is also recommended to add mayonnaise as an optional garnish for a richer taste.
