The "Tohoku Reconstruction Festival" will be held in Kitakata Ramen Sakauchi, where "Kitakata Ramen" will be sold at a special price on March 24 and 25, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated.

Kitakata Ramen Bannai Tohoku Reconstruction Festival

This is an annual initiative to mark the 11th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake in Bannai. The regular bowl of Kitakata ramen will be sold at a special price of 500 yen (regular price 720 yen, including tax) and the large bowl at a special price of 650 yen (regular price 870 yen), with 10 yen per bowl donated to Sakura Line 311, a certified non-profit organization. In addition, a limited number of stores will offer a 180 yen discount on the "2-serving souvenir ramen set (set of noodles, soup, and ingredients)" and a 90 yen discount on the "1-serving souvenir ramen set".

Sakura Line 311 is an organization that plants cherry trees at the maximum point of arrival of the tsunami caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake in order to pass on and preserve the memory of the tsunami. As of the end of April 2021, 1,858 cherry trees have been planted in Rikuzentakata City.
